The information on this website and in this divorce guide is provided as a public service. The reader is advised to check for changes to current law and to consult with a qualified attorney on any legal issue. The use of this material does not create an attorney-client relationship with The Hart Law Firm, P.A. or any of its attorneys.  Because the information posted on this website is prepared for a general audience, without investigation into the facts of each particular case, it is not legal advice: neither The Hart Law Firm, P.A. or any of its attorneys has an attorney-client relationship with you. The thoughts and commentary about the law contained on this site is provided as a service to the community, and does not constitute solicitation or provision of legal advice.

The Hart Law Firm, P.A. practices in two main practice areas, Family Law and Divorce, and Workers’ Compensation. We have a separate web page for each practice area.

Nobody at The Hart Law Firm, P.A. is a board certified specialist in any particular area of law, and we do not hold ourself out as such. Nothing on this site should be meant to construe that we are specialists in any particular area of law, including family law and divorce. North Carolina Attorneys may not use any variant of the term “specialty” or “specialize” in communications describing their services except as stated in Rule 7.4.

So – to summarize, nothing on this site is legal advice.  We’re not your lawyers unless we both agree in writing that we’re your lawyers.  We hate disclaimers. You probably do, too. Call your Congressperson and complain.
